The fifth Global Conference on Transparency Research has been announced.
It is due to take place at the University of Limerick, Ireland, from 19-21 June 2017. The organisation this time is in the hands of an tricontinental team of researchers from the Universities of Limerick, Baltimore (USA), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) and Makerere (Kampala, Uganda).
As always, the conference call for papers reaches out to various academic disciplines (including sociology,anthropology, political science, public administration, economics, political economy,journalism, communication sciences, business, history, philosophy, and law), approaches (normative, theoretical, empirical) and levels of study (national, sectoral, regional including EU, global comparative). The deadline for abstract submissions is 15 January 2017.

Earlier conferences were held in Newark (2011), Utrecht (2012), Paris (2013), and Lugano (2015). The conference’s executive committee has also already announced the location and estimated date for the sixth GCTR: Rio de Janeiro, June 2018.
